I assume that you're keying in on his broken English, but it's fair to assume that he knows the basic subject-verb-predicate routine in his native language.
Carlos doesn't have time for usless words like "hay."
hay is for horses
I'm pretty sure he left out the word "hay" in his interview where he said he only plays baseball for the money. That's what he was keying on.
