Neshek: Eat Meat Again, You Bum.

By Michael Haas

The Twins were playing the White Sox in their home opener yesterday, and somehow had the lead in the 7th inning, with Matt Guerrier on the mound. But he had just a one run lead, and put a couple guys on base. As I was falling asleep on the couch, I saw Pat Neshek come into the game. I assumed that he meant to strike Jermaine Dye out, but he didn't instead. And when I woke up it was 7 to 3. It was this guy:

Joe Crede? You kidding me?

His replacement at third base last season, Josh Fields, hit 20 homers. Now that kid is in triple-A. The White Sox aren't even good, but every one of their players can hit bombs, even the ones in the minors. I wish the Twins had that problem.

I cannot stand losing to the White Sox and their dirty bleached facial hair. What's the Twins magic number? What happened to magic number guy?

Also, I can't help but notice how different this team is from last years. Take a look at our lineup yesterday:

Gomez
Span
Mauer
Morneau
Young
Kubel
Harris
Lamb
Everett/Tolbert

Pitcher: Blackburn

The only real question out of these players:
Denard Span? Yes? No? Maybe so?

I had the game on the radio. The whole game I felt really uneasy about everything like I knew we were going to somehow lose. It was weird.

Nick Swisher was my least favorite player even when he didn't play for the white sox. Now, I want to punch his mom in the face.

Nice pic selection there Mike.

This sure is one crazy team to try and figure out, just when you think they might be coming together and figuring a few things out they real off a couple terrible games. Bahhumbug.

I dont mind Span but he bitched and moaned so much about not making the team out of Spring Training that I bet some of the guys on the team cant stand him.

I got out of my car with two men on up by one, I turned on the T.V. to see the slam land in the seats. Depressing.

Torii is starting to prove his point that we will miss him, but at least I picked up those stats on my fantasy team.

Soup, when are we going on a road trip to Swisher's mom's house?

Yeah, somehow we all missed the slam. I was on the train checking the score on my phone... went underground... came up on the other side, grandslam. That sucked.

I'm down for a battery. I might fly though and meet you there.

Did Crede also kick Mauersy in the nuts as well as hit a grand slam? He's holding them like Fuad Reveiz just sent him through the up rights.

BTW, I'm in on any roadtrips as well.

where does Nick Swishers mom live?

I don't think span will amount to a fulltime starter in the majors, but I don't mind that he bitched about being demoted. Shows that he cares.

What do you think about Neshek's comments about the pitch?

"I didn't want to throw inside, but [Mauer] really wanted me to put it in there..."

What kind of pitcher blames the catcher for a grand slam? He has the right to shake him off, or throw wherever he wants. It was one bad pitch, accept it Pat.

Pat can't handle that he can suck sometimes.
He needs steak. A big freakin' steak.

And While you guys are off bitch slapping swishers mom, can I upper cut his nasty bleached chin?

or turn him into a eunuch.
WORD.

i think he knows that it was a bad pitch. He was asked what he and mauer and anderson talked about on the mound, and he told them. It wasn't the world series, so I think everyone will forget about it.
