write a poem...

By Josh Holm(the Dutchie)
What's written here does not have to be clear.
No one will tell you which way to steer.
Take a quick right, but hold on tight,
try to avoid all the fear and the fright.
No drugs, please no thugs,
this isnt a poem about all those slugs.

Mixing Methods
Rip it up, dip it in, floods of thoughts will soon begin
Blaze it up, puff it in, stare at a cloud with a little grin
I wonder how long it’s been, but really cant remember when

Fields of trees and bumble bees, my thoughts wander through with ease
Going where the leaves will lead me, flipping/floating feeling freely

Hills and mountains lakes and oceans run through my mind like secret potions
Then I spin it, swig it, kill it
Trees spin slower, my head must lower
The rocks roll round as I hit the ground, no jack or jill behind me
I only try to keep a pound, to avoid that dreaded, dreaded sound
Then the silence came so quickly for this boy’s life that went so swiftly

Those are some of the most beautiful words that I have ever seen pieced together in a short poem for a blog. Thank you for sharing yourself Homer.

Chairs tippin’, young men trippin
Teachers out there on the verge of flippin
Trading my time for a future of light
Im watching them fall, fall into the night
Thugs and drugs, no daps, no hugs
They think it’s cool to be a bunch of thugs.

I can’t understand their simple thought
The future’s in their hands, and its starting to rot.
I try to build them up, but they tear each other down
It’s happening to all colors white, yellow, black, and brown
